  3. SweepNet is looking for RCs, hubs, and nodes everywhere.

  5. What is SweepNet?
  6. -----------------

  8. SweepNet is a network comprised of echo conferences specific to the
  9. hobby of Sweepstaking and Contesting - WINNING PRIZES!  More
  10. specifically, this network is for anyone who already is in the hobby, or
  11. is interested in becoming a sweepstakes enthusiast.  Everyone is
  12. welcome!

  14. SweepNet is just beginning, so we are looking for hubs and nodes
  15. anywhere in the U.S. and international.  Currently, there are six
  16. conferences pertaining to this hobby.  This network contains very
  17. friendly folks!

  19. SweepNet was started in order to provide sweepers(sweepstakes hobbyists)
  20. an alternative mechanism to exchange sweepstakes information, interests
  21. and discussion.  In addition, it is planned and anticipated that this
  22. will be a relatively inexpensive, even not expensive, means of sharing
  23. information.  There are approximately over 500,000 people who enjoy this
  24. hobby today.

  27. required for nodes are stated as well:

  31. Discuss your prizes and wins!  Talk about newsletters, the sweeps and
  32. contests themselves and anything under the sweeping sun.

  34. 2. SWEEP_TIPS           Sweepstakes Tips and Tricks
  35. Discuss tips and winning strategies.  How often and how many entries
  36. do you send in and when?  Share your winning ways!

  38. 3. SWEEP_SUBMIT         Sweepstakes and contest submission conference
  39. Submit sweepstakes and contest in this conference with the minimal
  40. requirement of Sweepstakes name, entry address, deadline date, prizes
  41. and restrictions.

  43. 4. SWEEP_SYSOP          For SweepNet sysops only
  44. Discussion for sysops of SweepNet.

  48. General discussion about Sweepstakes Online - the hows and features of
  49. the service.

  54. Messages in these conferences are passed back an forth between hubs.
  55. Traffic is not yet high so polling is not required on a daily basis so
  56. this should be fairly inexpensive to get started in.

  63. Right now they are very simple:  Be nice.  There's no discrimination of
  64. any form and no harassing of any form allowed.  The SweepNet board
  65. oversees these simple rules.

  81. the long distance calls to get mail.  Once you become a node, we'll let
  82. the hobbyists in your area know you're part of SweepNet.
