SWEEPNET SWEEPNET SWEEPNET SWEEPNET SWEEPNET
SweepNet is looking for RCs, hubs, and nodes everywhere.
What is SweepNet?
-----------------
SweepNet is a network comprised of echo conferences specific to the
hobby of Sweepstaking and Contesting - WINNING PRIZES! More
specifically, this network is for anyone who already is in the hobby, or
is interested in becoming a sweepstakes enthusiast. Everyone is
welcome!
SweepNet is just beginning, so we are looking for hubs and nodes
anywhere in the U.S. and international. Currently, there are six
conferences pertaining to this hobby. This network contains very
friendly folks!
SweepNet was started in order to provide sweepers(sweepstakes hobbyists)
an alternative mechanism to exchange sweepstakes information, interests
and discussion. In addition, it is planned and anticipated that this
will be a relatively inexpensive, even not expensive, means of sharing
information. There are approximately over 500,000 people who enjoy this
hobby today.
All of the following conferences are required for hubs and the minimal
required for nodes are stated as well:
(minimal required for nodes)
1. SWEEP_TALK General discussion of Sweepstakes & Contests
Discuss your prizes and wins! Talk about newsletters, the sweeps and
contests themselves and anything under the sweeping sun.
2. SWEEP_TIPS Sweepstakes Tips and Tricks
Discuss tips and winning strategies. How often and how many entries
do you send in and when? Share your winning ways!
3. SWEEP_SUBMIT Sweepstakes and contest submission conference
Submit sweepstakes and contest in this conference with the minimal
requirement of Sweepstakes name, entry address, deadline date, prizes
and restrictions.
4. SWEEP_SYSOP For SweepNet sysops only
Discussion for sysops of SweepNet.
(optional)
5. SWEEP_SWON Sweepstakes Online discussion
General discussion about Sweepstakes Online - the hows and features of
the service.
6. SWEEP_SWONSOFT Sweepstakes Online software support
Support conference for the free Sweepstakes Online software.
Messages in these conferences are passed back an forth between hubs.
Traffic is not yet high so polling is not required on a daily basis so
this should be fairly inexpensive to get started in.
File echos are in the works.
Rules:
------
Right now they are very simple: Be nice. There's no discrimination of
any form and no harassing of any form allowed. The SweepNet board
oversees these simple rules.
Support:
--------
Support nodes are limited currently so we encourage you to participate.
If interested in being a support site for certain software, please state
this in the application.
We Want You!
------------
We are looking for very friendly folks who would like to attract the
same kinds of people to their BBS.
We currently have RCs, hubs slots available for those willing to make
the long distance calls to get mail. Once you become a node, we'll let
the hobbyists in your area know you're part of SweepNet.
Whether you are an expert or novice just beginning in the BBS world,
help us build this great network today!!
Freq or download this message, current nodelist and SweepNet application
form with magic filename "SWEEPINFO". For nodelist only, Freq SWEEPNET.
